The Allen-Bradley 1756-RIO is a Remote I/O module from Rockwell's ControlLogix 1756 range. It acts as a scanner or an adapter on a remote I/O network at 57.6, 115.2 or 230.4 Kbps, with up to 32 physical racks (0…76) in any combination of rack size and block transfers. Besides digital and block transfer data it transfers analog and specialty data without message instructions. It has one remote I/O port for Belden 9463 twinaxial cable and draws 450 mA at 5.1 V DC; used as an adapter, the chassis must include a ControlLogix controller. It installs in any slot of a 1756 ControlLogix chassis and takes one slot.
