The Allen-Bradley 1756-L83ESK is a GuardLogix 5580 safety controller from Rockwell's ControlLogix 1756 range. It is the conformal coated version of the 1756-L83ES, with 10 MB of standard memory and 5 MB of safety memory. A single GuardLogix 5580 reaches up to SIL 2/PLd (Category 3); paired with a 1756-L8SP safety partner it reaches up to SIL CL 3/PLe (Category 4). It has an embedded 10/100/1000 Mbps EtherNet/IP port, 31 standard tasks plus one safety task, and up to 128,000 digital or 4000 analog I/O. It installs in a 1756 ControlLogix chassis and takes one slot.
