The Allen-Bradley 1756-CMS1B1 is a ControlLogix compute module for the 1756 chassis. It runs Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64 bit in a single chassis slot, with a 32 GB solid state drive and 4 GB of memory, so applications can exchange data directly with a Logix controller over the backplane. ControlLogix I/O modules can sit in any slot of a local ControlLogix chassis or in a remote chassis linked over EtherNet/IP or ControlNet, and their input data and output status can be shared by more than one controller.
