The ifm II0054 (IIA2015-ABOA/6M) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M30 x 1.5 threaded housing 81 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 15 mm. The real sensing range is 15 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…12.1 mm. It is a two-wire normally open sensor for 20…250 V AC/DC, with an AC load current of 250 (350 (…50 °C)) mA and a switching frequency of 25 Hz on AC, or 100 mA and 50 Hz on DC. ifm specifies a fast-acting miniature fuse of 2 A or less in the supply. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a nickel-plated brass housing with a PBT sensing face, connects through a 6 m PVC cable with 2 x 0.5 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
