The ifm IG6053 (IGA3012-ANKG/0,98M/PH/US100DNS) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M18 x 1 threaded housing 80 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 12 mm. The real sensing range is 12 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…9.7 mm. The NPN switching output is normally open, rated at 250 mA and up to 100 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing with an orange PBT sensing face, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
