The ifm IG0231 (IGA2005-ABOA/BS-201-A) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M18 x 1 threaded housing 81 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 5 mm. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing with a natural PBT sensing face, connects through an M18 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts) and is rated IP65 for -25…80 °C ambient.
