The ifm IFT207 (IFB3004BBPKG/V4A/10M/WH) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M12 x 1 threaded housing 50 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 4 mm, which ifm classes as an increased sensing range. The operating distance on steel is 0…3.25 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 100 mA and up to 800 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a stainless steel (1.4404 / 316L) housing with a PEEK sensing face, connects through a 10 m PVC, Ø 4.9 mm cable with 3 x 0.34 mm² conductors and is rated IP68 and IP69K for 0…100 °C ambient. ifm lists it for hygienic areas with regular cleaning and it has UL approval under file E174191. Two lock nuts are included.
