The Allen-Bradley MPL-B980E-MJ72AA is a Kinetix MPL low-inertia permanent magnet servo motor for 400 V-class drives in the 300 mm frame, rated 13.0 kW at 1500 rpm with 141.0 N·m continuous stall torque and 237 N·m peak stall torque. This version has a 1024 sin/cos absolute multi-turn encoder (Hiperface), a keyed shaft without shaft seal, a right-angle SpeedTec DIN connector that rotates through 180°, no holding brake and an IEC metric mounting flange. Rockwell designs the MPL range for high-performance motion systems such as packaging, converting, material handling and electronic assembly, with a high torque-to-size ratio and IP50 protection as standard without a shaft seal.
