The ABB TP853 is a communication expansion baseplate for the AC 800M CEX bus, used with the CI853 RS-232C interface, the CI855 MasterBus 300 interface and the CI857 INSUM interface. With the CI853 it carries two RS-232C ports on RJ45 connectors (COM1 and COM2, 75 to 19200 baud); a modem such as the TC562 is needed beyond 15 m. A two-letter code lock in the base prevents mounting incompatible units.
